Membership Details

Membership as a Geeks4Free freelancer entitles you to participate in real projects outlined by individual employers. Below are the steps involved in participating in projects and obtaining your Five Star Rating.

Step 1:	Sign up for membership
Step 2:	Log in as a member and search through a list of actual employer posted projects that you feel qualified to develop.
Step 3:	If you find a project you are qualified for, you can nominate yourself as a candidate for that project. If you are selected by an employer to develop that project then you work directly with the employer to meet their specified needs and timeframe.
Step 4:	Complete the project.
Step 5:	Upon completion of the project the employer will rate your overall performance based on a system of stars. The rating system is defined below: Did not complete project or completed unsatisfactorily. Completed project but would not recommend. Completed project satisfactorily. Completed project satisfactorily, would recommend. Exceeded expectations, would highly recommend.

Star ratings from all projects are combined into a cumulative rating. After a minimum of 3 projects are completed, and your cumulative rating is 4 or 5 stars, you are qualified to display your official rating in your profile. This means that when potential employers view your profile, your rating will also be displayed. 

What can this rating do for me?

1. By earning a 4 or 5 star rating, you gain instant credibility in the eyes of the employers seeking to hire experienced employees.
2. If you achieve a Five Star Rating, you will attain preferred freelancer status in which you will actually earn compensation for your services.
